Don't hate me!

OK so we all know the mom who can't/won't shut up about how great and wonderful, smart, talented, advanced etc their perfect child it. In all honesty we hate those moms, in fact every word that spills out about their child makes you more tempted to punch them in the face. Well guess what---- for this post I am going to be that mom. so please dont punch me in the face next time you see me OR hate me for too long.

Grace is a pretty smart kid. I try to keep most accomplishments and things like that to myself or interested grandparents but occasionally I get carried away (as some of us do) But tonight I was amazed. We have taught Grace her colors and she knows every single one of them red, pink, blue, green, brown, black, grey, orange, yellow etc.  and for a 22 monther this seems pretty average. But what amazed me-- and I cant really take any credit for it-- She knows almost all of her shapes. We got this app on our phones when grace was about a year old and could push buttons its called toddler teasers. Every now and then she would get one right after pushing the wrong buttons four or five times but tonight was the night it all clicked. Heres the play by play--- I was  in the kitchen doing dishes after dinner and Brock was in the front room playing with grace and he handed her his phone and let her play with this app. every now and then i would hear her scream "I did it" after about 10 minutes of this brock said haili come watch this. so i went in there.  grace knew circle-square-hexagon-heart-cresent-oval-rectangle. I couldnt believe it ! So there it is Tonight my child was a genius--- i dont know Child development or age appropriate skills etc. by any means so really this could just be something everyones kid does. But our socks were blown off watching our little girl sit there and look at all the shapes before picking the right one. Anyway hate me for a little while and then get over it !!! My Child is a genius !!! hahahaha
